This is the easiest method for beginners.
Open the xPortal app.
On the home screen, tap “Buy” or “Add Funds”.
Select EGLD as the token.
Choose your payment method:
Credit/debit card
Bank transfer (SEPA for EU)
Enter the amount you want to purchase.
Follow the instructions to complete the transaction.
The EGLD will appear in your wallet within a few minutes (up to 30 depending on the method).
📌 Note: You might be asked to verify your identity (KYC) when purchasing with fiat.
If you already have EGLD on an exchange, you can send it directly to your xPortal wallet.
Open the xPortal app.
Tap on EGLD and then “Receive”.
Copy your wallet address (starts with erd1...).
Go to your crypto exchange (e.g. Binance, KuCoin).
Choose Withdraw EGLD.
Paste your xPortal wallet address as the destination.
Choose the MultiversX (formerly Elrond) network.
Confirm and send the funds.
📌 Important: Make sure you only send EGLD through the MultiversX network. Sending from the wrong network (e.g. ERC20, BEP20) may result in permanent loss of funds.
If someone wants to send you EGLD:
Tap “Receive” in xPortal.
Share your wallet address or QR code.
Once they send it, you’ll receive the EGLD instantly.
Always double-check your wallet address before sending or receiving funds.
Never share your 24-word recovery phrase with anyone.
Use strong PIN or biometric protection on your phone.
